Gurso Bugyal | Second Snow Day | Auli Sunset
Full second day at Auli.
Early morning — sunrise from the resort snow deck. The specific Auli dawn — the sky above Nanda Devi turning from black to deep blue to the first line of gold on the summit ridge — is the single most frequently cited memory among Ahmedabad families who have completed an Auli snow holiday with SnazzyTrips. Set an alarm for 6:00am. The sunrise over the Nanda Devi massif from the Auli meadow in January or February is worth every minute of the 1,200 km from Gujarat.
Morning — Gurso Bugyal — the high meadow at 3,056 metres above Auli, reachable by ski lift or a 45-minute walk through the upper ski slope forest. In winter, Gurso Bugyal is covered in deep snow and the Nanda Devi panorama from the meadow rim is even more complete than from Auli below — the full 180-degree Himalayan wall including Hathi Parvat, Ghoda Parvat, and Neelkanth visible beyond the Auli ridge.
Afternoon — free time on the Auli slope. Additional skiing for families who want more time on the gradient. Snow walk toward the upper ropeway station for the highest accessible viewpoint on the meadow. Final snow photographs.
Late afternoon — slow return to the resort. The Nanda Devi wall in the afternoon winter light — the long shadows across the snow, the sky deepening toward the brief Himalayan dusk. Last evening at Auli.

Departure | Ropeway to Joshimath | Return to Ahmedabad
Morning breakfast at Auli resort. Final snow meadow walk before departure — the last Nanda Devi morning, the last Gujarat family photograph in the Himalayan winter snow before the ropeway takes you back down to the valley.
Ropeway descent to Joshimath. Transfer by private cab from Joshimath toward Haridwar or Rishikesh — the Panch Prayag highway in reverse, the mountains gradually opening back into the foothills, the Ganga emerging at Haridwar from the gorge into the plains. Delhi flight to Ahmedabad.
The Ahmedabad return flight carries the specific quality of a completed Himalayan winter experience — the first ropeway morning, the Nanda Devi wall at dawn, the deep powder at 2,519 metres, the Gurso Bugyal snow walk, and the Auli sunset on the last evening. These are the Gujarat family memories that every Ahmedabad traveler who comes to Auli for the first time carries home permanently.
