Auli Tour Package from Indore
Auli Tour Package from Indore: Itinerary, Train Calendar & Joshimath-Base Value Guide
Planned and reviewed by Govind Bisht, Operations, SnazzyTrips | Last updated: 27 October 2026
Indore has a direct rail link to the Garhwal hills four days a week. The Ujjaini Express and the Lakshmibai Nagar–Yog Nagari Rishikesh Express both leave Indore in the afternoon and reach Rishikesh the next evening, so a family can board after lunch on one day and see the Ganga on the next. Flights are less convenient: there is currently no non-stop flight from Indore to Dehradun.
This package is designed for value. Instead of three nights in Auli, where rooms are limited and expensive in snow season, you stay three nights in Joshimath, the town at the foot of Auli, 14 km below the slopes. Joshimath has more hotels, shops and pharmacies, and it’s the starting point for Auli, Badrinath and the Alaknanda valley. The climb is split at Nandprayag, a quiet confluence town, and the trip ends in Rishikesh, close to the station for the 6:15 AM train back to Indore.
SnazzyTrips is a local Uttarakhand-based DMC operating since 2003, with teams in Haldwani and Dehradun. If you’d rather sleep up on the snow, see our Auli packages that stay on the slopes.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Questions Indore travellers ask most
1. How much is the Auli tour package from Indore?
It starts at ₹27,499 per couple for 6N/7D (Standard tier). Premium is ₹36,499 and Luxury is ₹51,499 per couple; trains or flights are extra.
2. How many days do I need for Auli from Indore?
The package is 6N/7D on the ground. With about a day of train travel each way, plan 9 days in total.
3. When is the best time to visit Auli from Indore?
Late December to February for snow, May–June or September–early November for Badrinath and clear views. Avoid July and August.
4. Is there a direct train from Indore to Rishikesh?
Yes. The 14309 Ujjaini Express (Wed, Thu) and 14317 Indore–Rishikesh Express (Sat, Sun) run from Lakshmibai Nagar to Yog Nagari Rishikesh in about 27 hours.
5. Is there a direct flight from Indore to Dehradun?
Not currently. Flights connect with one stop, and the fastest options take about 3–4.5 hours.
6. Which airport is nearest to Auli?
Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, about 285 km from Auli and about 20 km from Rishikesh.
7. Why does this package stay in Joshimath instead of Auli?
Joshimath is more affordable, has better town facilities and is closer to Badrinath. Auli is only 14 km away, and daily transfers are included.
8. Is Joshimath safe to stay in?
Most of Joshimath operates normally for tourists. We book only hotels that are functioning normally and check local advisories before every trip.
9. Is Auli better than Pachmarhi for Indore families?
They’re different trips. Pachmarhi is a nearby hill station without snow; Auli is a Himalayan snow destination with ski slopes and 7,000 m peak views.
10. Can I do Badrinath and snow in the same trip?
No. Badrinath closes around mid-November, before Auli’s snow season. Choose snow (Dec–Feb) or Badrinath (May–mid-Nov).
11. Is the Joshimath–Auli ropeway working?
It has been closed since the Joshimath land-subsidence crisis. Check current status with GMVN; we drive you up by road.
12. Is snow guaranteed in Auli?
No. Snow is most likely from late December to February, but it depends on each year’s weather.
13. Can seniors and children join?
Yes, most seniors and children above about 4 manage well, and sleeping lower in Joshimath helps. Anyone with heart or lung conditions should consult a doctor.
14. What is included in the package?
Six nights’ stay, breakfast and dinner, a private vehicle including daily Auli transfers, tolls, parking and sightseeing. Trains, flights, ski lessons and chairlift or ropeway tickets are not included.
15. Can I add Haridwar to the trip?
Yes. Both Indore trains stop at Haridwar, so we can start or end there; see our Haridwar side-trip options.
